Home health clinicians are the foundation and front line for the success of your home health program.  They are continually challenged to maintain and demonstrate current knowledge about the many requirements that impact home health services. Unlike other health care settings, the home health clinicians must be knowledgeable about payer eligibility and coverage requirements;  adapt to increasing requirements for interdisciplinary practice in a community-wide setting where there is a myriad of employment arrangements; possess a detailed knowledge of the regulatory requirements for the home health program; and demonstrate excellent communication and clinical practice skills involving a wide variety of age groups, medical conditions, cultures and environmental challenges.  And if those requirements are not enough to deal with, the major reason for denials and citations within the home health setting is inadequate documentation. 

• New and expanded requirements under the Conditions of Participation on patient rights, assessment, care planning and coordination that most impact patient care and outcomes along with the documentation necessary to successfully sustain audits and surveys;
