AHHC Home Care Summit 2020

The importance for a home care agency to understand laws and rules for reporting client abuse, neglect, exploitation and other offenses committed by a client’s personal caregivers or by home care agency staff cannot be overstated. This year’s Summit will have a speaker from the NC Division of Aging and Adult services (DAAS) to discuss adult protective services laws and rules, and a speaker from the NC Division of Health Service Regulation (DHSR) Health Care Personnel Investigations(HCPI) unit to provide information on reportable offenses committed by agency staff. NC Medicaid staff will be speaking to provide an update on NC Medicaid Managed Care and Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) and what is known at the time of the Summit. We will wrap up the day with a legislative update from Tracy Colvard, AHHC’s VP of Government Relations and Public Policy.
