Managing in the New Role of Home Health Clinical Manager
Whether you are new in this role or transitioning to this role in your home health agency, it is imperative you understand the new HH COP responsibilities and requirements. Never before has there been such scrutiny on the “clinical manager.” Now that CMS has broadened who can be the Clinical Manager, this is an opportunity for nurses and other qualifying disciplines to get the knowledge they need to “thrive.”
This day long program will address the following questions:
- What do the COPs say about the new clinical manager’s role?
- Who qualifies to be a clinical manager?
- What are the challenges for a non-nurse clinical manager and how can they be overcome?
- What does it mean to provide oversight of all patient care services and personnel?
- What does that oversight include in the Home Health COPs?
Throughout this program we will be discussing the requirements and challenges of the Clinical Manager’s responsibilities under the new COPs, NC Licensure rules, and Medicare eligibility and coverage.
