About ELNEC
The curriculum was developed through the work of nationally recognized palliative care experts with extensive input from an advisory board and reviewers. The ELNEC-Core content is divided into eight modules:
Nursing Care at the End-of-Life Pain Management
Symptom Management Ethics
Cultural Considerations Communication
Loss, Grief, Bereavement Final Hours
This course is based on the End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium training model previously supported by a grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to the American Association of Colleges of Nursing and City of Hope National Medical Center.
Who Should Attend?
ELNEC is developed by nurses for nurses, we welcome all nurses from all healthcare settings, as well as other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team, such as social workers, chaplains, volunteers, bereavement coordinators, discharge planners, SNF liaisons, case managers, and nurse practitioners, who have an interest in palliative care and care at the end of life.
This course is a great introduction to End of Life care or an encompassing review for more seasonsed staff.
