The Hospice Financial Intensive

We are all familiar with using various Global Positioning Systems (GPS) to acquire the directions we need to get where we want to go. A key to getting there is knowing from what point you are starting and where you hope to end up. Likewise, in home health and hospice, to move forward we need to know where we are now. Expert speakers will provide information to help your agency assess the financial outcomes of past/current impacts on home health and hospice and how your agency’s responses to those impacts have in turn affected your financial outcomes.

Is your agency able to determine the financial effects of the following over the last two years?
  • Audits
  • New Payment Model - Two-Tiered Payment & SIA
  • Emerging Population Health and Population Trends
  • Market Share
  • Staff Readiness

Is your hospice agency preparing prospectively for the coming impacts and trends? While the infrastructure of hospice has been built around traditional Medicare services, there are innovations and new opportunities ahead that will require agencies to operate  differently.

This may require rethinking our current agency model by considering changes in operations, new ways of working together internally, different ways of tracking and trending data, expanding community services via palliative care,  and using information technology.

Attendees will walk away with a plan and tool for self-assessment as well as ideas for innovations centered around achieving the ideal Hospice State!
