Employee Value Proposition: Strategies for Employee Engagement Success
For the first time in history five generations can be found working side by side in the workforce. A talent gap is forming as Baby Boomers age into retirement and Millennials climb the corporate ladder. In 2016, 60 percent of all home care workers were part time or part year workers. Learn how to deliver on your value proposition as a recruitment strategy to engage, enable and energize the evolving workforce.

SPEAKERS:

Tammy Ross, Senior Vice President of Operations, Professional Services, Axxess
Tammy Ross is directly responsible for the Professional Services division of Axxess whose goal is to offer practical operational solutions to the home care and hospice industry.  She has 30 plus years in the post-acute industry; highly saturated in certified home health. She has lead successful large multi-site and multi- state agencies and contributed to driving down the Medicare spend rate by participating as a certified home health provider in multiple accountable care organizations.  She has a successful track history in developing 5 Star agencies and improving patient outcomes through disease management.  She is the co-developer of Maintenance Therapy a Palliative Care Approach which is a rehab program based on the premise of the Jimmo verses Sebelius settlement that patients do not have to have rehab potential to receive therapy services. Seeing the value in training and mentoring caregivers that  support the desire to allow clients and patients the ability to age in place in the home, Mrs. Ross opened a Certified Nursing Assistant School (CNA School) which had a 98% pass rate for certification exam and was a career path for 50% of students to obtain higher training in the medical field to include nursing, coding, and  medical assistance. She opened and owned a private duty agency that employed these next generation CNA’s to deliver specialty programs directed at disease management. The agencies dementia program was highly sought after by referral sources, caregivers, and providers. Prior to her current position at Axxess, she was an international industry consultant focusing on operational management throughout the United States and the Pacific realm.  Through her consulting efforts the first Medicare certified Home Health and Hospice was opened in Guam and later in Saipan. A strong supporter of the military, Mrs. Ross is most proud of her work with Congress to promote legislation to bring Women Infant and Children (WIC) Program to military family’s station overseas. Mrs. Ross earned a master’s degree in Health Care Administration from Columbia Southern University and is a bachelors prepared registered nurse. She also has advanced certification in Health Care Case Management and Quality Improvement. When she is not busy at Axxess, she enjoys assisting clients and family in navigating the health care system on a volunteer basis.
