Association for Home & Hospice Care of North Carolina Seeks 
VICE PRESIDENT of Hospice & Palliative Care

The Association for Home & Hospice Care of NC (AHHC), one of the largest state home care and hospice associations in the United States, is hiring for a VP of Hospice & Palliative Care. This position supports members who provide hospice and palliative care services to patients in both NC and SC. The VP identifies industry issues that impact these members and analyzes, interprets and communicates information related to practice, federal and state regulations, policy and operations

The VP provides a high level of consultation to members related to: administrative and clinical operations; third party reimbursements; documentation and coverage requirements; compliance and quality issues; policy development, difficult patient strategies; and a wide variety of regulatory requirements.
The VP writes and edits several newsletters; serves as faculty for workshops and educational programs; represents the association in meetings with policy makers and administrators of local, state, and federal regulations; serves as lead staff liaison to a multitude of hospice-related workgroups and committees; and helps to support workforce initiative grants through the association's Foundation.
A BSN degree is required for this position. MSN or equivalent preferred.  Certification in Hospice & Palliative Care is ideal.  Minimum of five years of recent administrative hospice experience required.  This position will be based at the AHHC office located in Raleigh, NC.  State and national travel is required throughout the year.
AHHC is a nonprofit, healthcare trade association, representing the full continuum of home care, private duty, companion-sitter, skilled home health care, hospice and palliative care. AHHC also manages the SC Home Care & Hospice Association, and between the two states, represents over 1,000 home care, home health & hospice agencies, with 98% of hospice agencies as members in NC alone.  AHHC is also very active at the national level with NHPCO, NAHC and most recently C-TAC.
