Comp. Verification, Adult Learning & Disease Mgmt Training

Home care supervisors are responsible for ensuring a competent in-home aide workforce and this area continues to be a deficiency in DHSR Home Care surveys. Come join us at this in-person, interactive workshop for practical techniques to take back to your agency to develop a competent, well trained In-Home Aide staff to provide the best care to your clients. The presenters will also cover training in specific disease conditions for your In-Home Aide staff for chronic diseases such as COPD, CHF, and Diabetes to help your agency become a valued partner with third party payers such as managed care organizations. The workshop will provide information on competency, adult learning styles, how to provide testing of staff, information from the NC Board of Nursing related to delegation, information on disease management training for In- Home Aides, hands on demonstration of competency skills training and small group breakout sessions. This is a workshop you will want all of your In-Home Aide supervisory staff to attend!

Lunch and Nurse Contact Hours Will Be Provided.
